In Cavan town this Saturday the 23rd April there will be a large parade for the people of Cavan to commemorate 1916. This event is organised by Cavan County Council and Shannon Gaels are invited to participate in this. Under age players and adults wishing to walk in the parade are to assemble at Cavan Institute at 3:15pm wearing club colours. Our banner will also be carried. This is a short parade around the town ending at the courthouse. Throughout the day there will be a number of different ย events to commemorate this significant centenary.
